You don’t have to go far from your kitchen, your home, or your desk to do something good for your body, your mind, your significant other, and/or your community. DailyFeats.com recently launched a new service aimed at giving you simple ideas for doing something good, and sharing that good with others. Founders Veer and Vinay Gidwaney call them “feats”. Here is the kicker, for completing feats to better our world, you actually earn points — we’ll come back to points in a moment.
There are roughly 30 categories of feats that you can choose from. Categories include; Being Active, Being Creative, Being Romantic, Doing Your Civic Duty, Eating & Drinking, Giving, and Saving A Life. Sample feats in these categories include; go for a run, taking the stairs instead of an elevator, send someone a smile, visit an art gallery, drink a cup of green tea and soooo many more. Lots of fun activities that are just plain healthy, and good for you.
Here is how the DailyFeats.com system works:
So let’s talk more about the DailyFeats point system. For performing feats, and doing some good, you earn points. Feats are worth 2pts, 4pts, 6pts, etc. If your friends recognize your rewards you earn more. Accumulated points can be turned in for rewards. There are a host of ways you can treat yourself. Here is a sampling of their extremely practical rewards:
Personally I am addicted to these types of applications, because while you do one activity for your health you are at the same time helping a broader cause (you all know we like the fitness only application from +3Network). Maybe DailyFeats.com does it already, but one thing CulturalSweat.com would like to see is an option to donate our earned points (or rewards) to someone, or an organization which is potentially more needy! This is the ultimate “feat!” It may be possible already, we just haven’t earned enough for our first reward…

IT CONTINUES… we're happily ensconced in CulturalSweat today: http://bit.ly/c2dHOK
